2nd RIUL Portugal Symposium 2025 – Horizons of Reading in a Digital World

This symposium, supported by LITTERA, took place on 4 and 5 December 2025 at the School of Education and Social Sciences of Leiria and at the Auditorium of the Museum of the Moving Image (MIMO) in Leiria.

The Symposium featured four keynote lectures and 15 presentations of high quality and social relevance by researchers who had received personal invitations to participate, as well as 13 open-submission presentations delivered in parallel sessions by participants from national and international universities, in accordance with the programme available at https://sites.ipleiria.pt/2riul/indice-2/.

The significant participation and engagement of researchers, academics, and members of the public (100 registrations), mainly students from the Polytechnic University of Leiria and primary and lower-secondary school teachers, attest to the scale of the event and its potential educational impact.

From 2 to 4 July 2025, the EATAW Conference took place at the University of Minho, with the support of Littera, under the theme “Multilingual Academic Literacies: Challenges and Opportunities in the Age of AI.”

Several Littera members also presented papers at the
